It's also fairly long for a custom story (6-8 hours), but it doesn't drag on and constantly surprises you with new interesting stuff.Īs for negatives, some of the puzzles are rather contrived like: bust through wooden planks by dropping a weight on them, because sawing them makes too much sense. It's also jam packed with original ideas, one I remember of the top of my head is trapping a monster in a room by locking the doors (that's just one of many, but I won't spoil the surprises). Custom story is masterfully frightening rarely relying in jumpscares, with a couple of original monsters to boot. The story quickly escalates and is full of twists and turns, and ends in a rather unexpected way. It starts out basic with a simple set up: You're investigating an old castle with your colleague and there's a cave in which's apparent purpose is to keep something inside. I just finished playing this custom story, which I have started before and never finished. This weview contains very minor puzzle spoilers.
